Arbutus Bluff
Recycled fir beams comprise part of the flooring and the remaining polished concrete floors were finished with beautiful acid-wash by the owners. As well, the owners undertook the cabinetry assembly and all sanding, sealing, and painting.
The Prolok® metal panels used for both the roof and the siding are balanced by the cedar barge and fascia and softened by shingles in the gables. Great care was taken in the siting of the buildings to ensure a panoramic view of the ocean and the surrounding acreage.
Their heated floors, fireplaces, and ensuites enhance the comfort of the two bed and breakfast units.
This over 3,200 square foot bed-and-breakfast home business was magnificently realized with a combination of salvage, owner effort, and a strong basic building design.
