His black metal exterior contrasting dramatically with fir siding, soffits and beams, he stands proudly at the foot of a stunning bay. That’s the vision that became a reality for our clients family retreat.
Sited and designed to embrace the spectacular 180-degree view ensures that the “being on the beach” feeling stays with you no matter where you are in the home. Approaching His Majesty already has that covered with the glass front door, is there a door? It seems almost invisible as you are drawn to the thoroughfare of the active ocean view beyond. Entrancing!
The interior design featuring a classic palette gives the home a minimal, modern, sophisticated style. A heated, etched concrete floor is practical for a busy family, grandkids, and furry kids alike! The unique fireplace sliced from local sandstone was transformed into an original piece of art.
Glass windows reach up to the exposed timber ceilings allowing the warm glow of sunsets, like a warm blanket, to enter and wrap everything in its comfort.
The glass railings of the staircase add to the open, spacious concept. The landing receives you with a cozy reading, or a gaze out of the window nook where time stands still.
Wherever you are in this home, interior, exterior, every angle is visually stunning. A unique property and home that is truly one for the ages.
